Hi,
I'm an organic farmer in upstate NY with an addiction to plants. Mostly we grow vegies and things to sell at market, but I am getting more and more interested in perrenials and flowers. I live in zone 5a and have killed so many beautiful potted rosemary plants because I leave them in the unheated greenhouse too long and forget to bring them into the house. I am thinking about planting some in the ground with rocks around them that I can fill in with straw and cover with row cover in the winter. Does anyone do this??
Any success with rosemary in my zone??
Newbie curious about rosemary
Sorry - I have had mine overwinter outside and in, but I'm a different zone. The best I can suggest is give it a try. I had taken cuttings that I rooted inside just in case.
