FULL sun !?

I moved a few years back and haven't had canna here. I couldn't live without a Tropicanna this year and bought myself one. I have always had mine in full sun. Well, full sun here (high desert) can be scorching (100+ temps at least half a dozen days a summer) in this situation would you still place a canna in full sun? It will be in a pot since they aren't winter hardy here, i can provide it all the water it likes, i just don't want to fry it's leaves.

Hello Melissa, I'm in the desert in NM where from mid may all the way until August there are constant 100+ temps. I dream of 85 degrees, lol! Anyway, I do alot of cannas and they are all in full sun and do fine. Just remember to keep things well watered.
