Never heard of it, but if you have more then one, try one in water and one in dirt. It will be interesting to know how things work out. Always something new to learn in gardening. Good luck and keep me posted.

Hi Paul,
'White Flaccida' isn't one of my hybrids. I got it long ago from a hybridizer friend. I don't know it was one of his hybrids either.

I will try a start of it in a water situatiuon now to see how it does.

Though it's name has flaccida as part, it does not look to me it has c. flaccida in it's parentage.

Just about all cannas can be grown in water situations in summer when the water reaches nice grow temps.
It's amazing how they will grow in water differently from soil.
In water, the cannas have masses of hair roots ..where in soil they do not. It's amazing to see the difference.

The very adaptable canna. Just ONE of the things I love about them :-)
