Codonopsis convolvulaceae

Does anyone grow this vine? I just ordered one from Heronswood and it came this week. It smells like a skunk. LOL I had to take it outside to the garage, it stunk so bad. LOL As soon as I walk into the garage, it overwhelms me. I don't know if I want to plant this vine or not. LOL If it's going to smell like this, I need to plant it in somebody's yard that I don't like that doesn't live close at all. LOL

Oh no! You would think they could maybe add that handy bit of info in the product desciption, huh? Do you suppose that once it is not in a confined space that the air will clear around it? Yuck. I hope someone that grows this comes along and can tell you that the smell goes away soon after planting. :~) Otherwise, you may need to put on your night vision goggles and sneak ino the yard of a neighbor you don't particularly like and do a little midnight planting. LOL

LOL I sure hope the smell gets better or everyone will think I'm harboring a skunk in my yard somewhere. LOL
