Hello, everyone! I looked through Plant Files for this iris ID, but quite frankly it was overwhelming! We bought these irises about 7 or 8 years ago, before we were keeping track in my garden journal, so I would really appreciate your advice on determining which bearded iris this one is? I thought maybe Allendale?

Could be Florentina although the shape and draping of the fall doesn't seem right. F has somewhat distinctive habits. It is very early, its falls incurve, and it has pale bluish buds. Here is another shot of it in a more typical pose.

Here is my orris root iris Florentina that opened yesterday. I planted this in 1983 from an herb farm that was closing. Hope this helps. Patti
Thank you all!. I believe this is it. It DOES bloom early, and it does have some very pale bluish buds. Your pics and descriptions have really helped. Now off to learn more about it!
