Is there any reason I can't...

Endicott, NY

I have 3 rolls of roofing paper the roofer left last year. Is there any reason I can't use it on walkways as landscape fabric? Anything in it that would be bad for the environment? Any thoughts would be nice. Thanks

I don't think that I would be too concerned about it chemically, but it will be inpervious to water and will pool water if you don't poke holes in it. Just plan for that. Thats all that I can think of.

Good point, Wormboy. Thanks.

We use it all the time as the basis for paths. My DH just cuts triangles about 2" wide (at the bottom of the triangle) and 3" long to let the water seep through. Then we pile on pine needles. It's been a few years so far and nothing has grown through.
