Typing Symbols

Maybe everyone else already knows this system, but I just found it in a newsletter from The Computer Lady (part of the Dollar Stretcher series.) Use the ALT key and the numbers pad on the far right of the keyboard:

For the Degrees symbol: ALT + 0176 = °
For the Cross symbol: ALT + 0134 = †
For the Trade Mark symbol: ALT + 0153 = ™
For the Copyright symbol: ALT + 0169 = ©
For the 1/4 symbol: ALT + 0188 = ¼
For the ... symbol: ALT + 0133 = …
For the cents symbol: ALT + 0162 = ¢
For the Registered symbol: ALT + 0174 = ®
For the 1/2 symbol: ALT + 0189 = ½
For the 3/4 symbol: ALT + 0190 = ¾
