Alpine clematis

North East England, United Kingdom(Zone 8a)

I visited a specialist alpine nursery yesterday and they had a few clematis in their raised beds - I thought it was an interesting way to display these small beauties. This one is Clematis tenuiloba Ylva

Ann: Thank so much for sharing these wonderful Clematis with us! All of these are new to me. Is "tenuiloba" a new division of Clematis? Clematis never stop to amaze me. There are so many varieties, color, shapes and sizes all under this Genus!

Aren't the clematis related to ranunculus? Yes -the species/family is huge. There really is a clematis for every situation!

Yes, the family is Ranunculaceae. What an incredibly diverse family it is!
