Hi Everyone~

The flower on 'Wild Survivor' looks so delicate. You'd never guess it grew like a weed!

'Munras' adds a nice sunny spot to my garden.

Thanks, billyporter. There's one more just opening up tonight. I'll try to get a picture of it tomorrow.

Nichols, IA(Zone 5a)

Gorgeous! Everytime I enlarge a picture it becomes my new favorite!

Kingsport, TN(Zone 6b)

Oh I am insanely jealous!! Those are spectacular!

Lafayette, IN(Zone 5a)

They are all beautiful, but my pick is 'Commitment' and 'Pacific Rim'. Nice pics!

Stanford, CA(Zone 9b)

These are really stunning! Where did you buy them?

Vancouver, WA(Zone 7a)

I was hoping you'd pop in, doss! I knew you'd enjoy seeing these.

I purchased most of these from Wildwood Gardens. They don't have a website, but you can email Will Plotner for a catalog at gardens@molalla.net. Or, you can write him at:

Wildwood Gardens
PO Box 250
Molalla, OR 97038-0250

He has some great selections and most are different from Ghio's.

I also picked up a few from Aitken's Salmon Creek Garden. Their website is:

Last one for this year opened up today. This one is 'Weather Eye'.

They are all stunning. Are they hardy in zone 5?

Vancouver, WA(Zone 7a)

They only grow really well along the Pacific Coast. I believe they're native to CA. I've heard of people in other states growing them as annuals or growing them as perennials in pots with winter protection. It might be kind of a pain, though.

Nichols, IA(Zone 5a)

No wonder we aren't offered anything so pretty up here. The iris borers would ruin them.
I'm really enjoying seeing yours. I think they're the most gorgeous ones I've seen yet!

Vancouver, WA(Zone 7a)

I do love them and feel fortunate to be able to grow them. I hope everyone gets enjoyment out of the pictures. Sometimes I feel bad posting them because I know people will want to grow them and won't be able to. :0(

There's always something someone can't grow. That's why we buy book with pictures. I love seeing what people have. It inspires me to step up my own beds, and to take more pictures!

Stanford, CA(Zone 9b)

One is more stunning than the next. Thanks so much for the information about where to buy them. Perhaps put them in the Watchdog? I know that Aitken's are already there.

Vancouver, WA(Zone 7a)

Both Aitken's and Wildwood are in the Garden Watchdog. I just left positive feedback for Wildwood since I forgot to last year.

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

They are all outstanding! 'Weather Eye' is my favorite, but I love them all.
Are the blooms about the same size as the tall bearded ones? I read how to grow thme and decided it was probably not worth the trouble here, but they sure are tempting.

No, the blooms are a lot smaller than TBs. I'd say they are closer to SDB size.

Cambria, CA(Zone 10a)

Wow, aren't these wonderful? I'm so excited now to get more. Hey, there are so few places that they grow that I think everyone on the Pacific Coast should grow them. Thanks for your links too.
