Pike carries extra large bags of perlite. You can buy the large bales of something like pro-sol at most garden centers and mix them together.
Definitely Pikes for the large bags of Perlite but not all stores will have them in stock so you might want to call first. I get Miracle Gro potting mix at Sam's (55 QT) for less than $10.

Got the potting mix from Sam's this afternoon. Will check Pike's.
They sell perlite at Ace Hardware but only in 8 qt bags.
I used to buy 3 to 4 bags of Perlite at HD, Lowe's, or Wal-Mart at a time. Now I buy the large bag at Pikes which is equivalent to about 7 of the bags at the big 3. The large bag is around $15 which saves me around 50% of the costs of the small individual bags. Well worth it if you can find it.
The cheapest perlite I ever bought was at a cement contractor's. It is used as additive to some mixes where weight reduction is needed without a sacrifice in volume. I think I got 100 pounds for $10.00.
