May's Tall Bearded Iris

Lincoln, NE(Zone 5b)

I'm so happy my tall bearded Iris have started to fill the garden with color. My varigated Pallida was the first to open. Not the prettiest flower, but I love that bright varigated foliage in the early spring when there is so much green in the garden. Stepping Out, an older one followed the next day. It always does well for me.

Here you can see how the pallida foliage really stands out.

Splashacata is a favorite one.

This is Eagle's Landing first year to bloom for me. It is very large and has just a hint of silver-blue color to it.

It was a real mistake to plant Millenium Falcon next to Splashacata. That's MF on the left and S. on the right. One will have to be moved.

Olympic Returns was a bonus plant. Nice light yellow.

lovely pictures, lincolntess. I love your 'Splashacata'--especially.

I have had the variegated Pallida for three years. It has yet to bloom for me which is disappointing. The foliage is so attractive, though, that I will keep hoping for a while.
