Weedwacking Garlic Mustard?

Since garlic mustard is a bi-ennial, can I weedwack this year's crop before it goes to seed and this year's plants will die and do the same thing next year?

Or will they just send up more stalks?

There's so much of it, it's impossible to pull up or spray all of it.

This plant is do darn easy to pull up by hand in clumps that I swear it's almost as fast as weedwacking and you get the whole root. Weedwacking will help a lot but there will be plants left that will still shoot up growth and set seed and then you still have to get in the area and remove what you whacked to be able to get to other areas of GM so I bet we're talking about the same time element. Maybe try half an area with the weedwacker and half an area with hand pulling and then next year you determine which method is best for you. I suspect the area that was weedwacked will have considerably more garlic mustard than the area that was hand pulled.

You're probably right but it's a daunting task, the woods are covered.
