Spores from Cedar trees ruining fruit trees!

Eatonton, GA(Zone 8b)

Does any one know about a problem with growing Apple or Pear trees near or in the general vacinity of cedar trees? I Heard that the cedars will sometime grow galls that give off spores that will make fruit fall off!

On the same subject, all my Peaches ( only about 1 inch in size) just fell off this week end! They were fine and then they turned brown shriveled and fell off!

Eufaula,
There is a disease called cedar-apple rust that affects apples but I don't know about peaches. I have a ton of cedars on my property [b/c I love them so] and I will never be able to have apples.
I am sorry I wasn't more help to you. If you don't find an answer here, go post your Q on the trees forum.
