New Clematis 'Fireworks'

Got this at Wally World for 8.00!!! I thought I'd put him behind my Carpet Rose, but now I don't know. Colors kinda clash.

Close-up of Fireworks. Check out the pedal with green on it on the right side. Actually, I haven't looked at it to see if it's part of the flower. Didn't notice it till I was lookin at the pics.

That's what I thought when I saw him!!!! Now, how bout putting him with that rose?? Good, bad, no way???

Debbie..to be honest I wouldn't plant that Clematis with a Rose bush..Clematis "Fireworks" is a pruning group 2 which means you don't prune it except to remove winter kill and to shape..I would plant with either another pruning group 2 or on a climbing rose or on it's on....Jeanne
