It blooms!!!

I was so excited to walk out the door this morning and find this beautiful iris blooming in the yard. A friend from Kansas sent it to me last year, and this is the first time I have seen it bloom. I'm not certain of the name, but it sure is a beauty!

There are many red-shaded irises thanks to the quest for the ultimate red. Does yours have and purple/red tint to the foliage at the bottom? It's looks alot like the one that is blooming now in my garden.

I didn't see any purple/red tint to the foliage at the bottom. It was all green. The color of this bloom is fantastic!
