Earthbox limestone question

Endicott, NY

In my basement I have a bag of limestone that's been there for years. All it says is "lawn and garden limestone". It says "guaranteed not to burn your lawn". Is this the kind to use in the earthbox? Please help as I'll be filling up the boxes today, I hope. Thank you.

If it's a fine white powder it is NOT what you want to put into an EB. You will do much better using Dolomite which is a natural mined limestone and is normally a grayish brown color and granular. It should be available at any garden center near you. Espoma sells it in 5 lb. bags and calls it Garden Lime. Most garden centers also have it in 50 lb, bags.

Thanks Ritchh.
That's what I needed to know.
