How big does your solid green SS get? I have three sizes in the solid green - one 3-6", one 10-12" and another 2-3' tall. I don't know the names of any of them.

P. biflorum is 12-36 inches...S. commutatum can get a high as 7feet ...Mine are about 5 feet. and odoratum 18-24 inches (this is the variagated one)

Mine get to about 3 feet. They are lovely but get attacked very early on by black flies then grey worms that strip the foliage by mid summer!

EEEEUUUUUUUU! Nasty sounding critters. :-(

Baltimore, MD(Zone 7a)

that doesn't happen to mine...but the deer do love to bite their heads off just as they are unfurling. I have so many that it doesn't matter but I do really love the huge ones...they are also wonderful in flower arrangements.

Nichols, IA(Zone 5a)

I have the biflorum and the bumblebees love it. Nothing else bothers. It's under an eave, so it gets almost 4' tall.
