In my yard there is no doubt what perfumes the air in early May.
This 35+ year old Bobwhite Crab, I can't get enough of it, LOL.
It's just coming to full bloom now. Pic was taken today.

That is absolutely breathtaking!! I am sure you do enjoy it. A place me and my Granny lived at about 20 yrs ago had one in the backyard and I loved it. I have tried growing them again but they seem to die on me.

This one was here 20 years ago when the house was built.
Ground breaking was just as it started to flower, the contractor noticed it and saved it.
Everything is crawling with tiny Gypsy Moth caterpillars now. I sprayed it a couple weeks ago but can't again until the petals fall. Another 10 days or so. It'll be OK.
