Anyone know why my Sweet Potato Vine "Blackies" are turning green?
I have them in the sun, and planned on using them as ground cover, in the sun.
Too much sun? Will shade darken them up again?
Thanks for looking.

Blackies Turning Green?
Mine are definitely darker with less sun.
I have them in full sun and shade and the ones in the sun sometimes get a bit faded. The black leaf sweet potato vines sometimes revert to green, so keep an eye on them and toss the ones that never darken up. Ace of Spades is worse than Blackie about reverting to all green.
They were dark, but they're reverting back to green. I've had them in the sun. I was looking for a way to darken them up again, if possible. Maybe I'll try keeping them in the shade for a while, and see if that does anything.

With the blackies, the newest leaves are green and then darken. It looks to me like the older leaves got a bit burnt by the sun. Leave them in the sun for another week and see if the new leaves darken. If so, then just take the burnt leaves off as it puts out new leaves. If you put it in the shade to "darken" it up, you will just go thru the same process when you put it back into the sun.
