Climbing Rex Begonia

New Madison, OH(Zone 5a)

We went to my favorite nursery today...and I found this!! They said it was new for them this year. It is called Climbing Rex begonia....the botanical name is Cissus discolor. From what I have read about it..it is a tropical vine..and not actually a begonia at all. But it sure looks like one.
They had two in a large pot...with a trellis that looked a lot like an upside down tomato cage...and it was covered!
DH bought me two for Mother's Day....how sweet of him!!

Beautiful foliage. Does it do well in a shady location?

I just located this thread, tell us how it did this summer and what requirements please?

Well, I am sorry to say, neither of them lived. And I'm sure it was my fault. I put them outside (after frost date here)...but then it got really cold here. They were planted in a metal tub, and I couldn't bring it in. They couldn't take the cold at all. Lesson learned.
And they were soo pretty too.:(
