Sign Up DEADLINE Friday September 23rd
RULES:
3 canna's of your choice will be mailed to the person drawn
as your Secret Trader.
Old fashion and No Name Canna's
will be just fine. Just as long as you know
the color of the blooms.
This will help the New Collector's to get
started. (like me)
Please try to send quality of plants that you would like to receive.
Send canna's you love the most.
Please do not feel obligated to send more than 3 canna's.
Although some traders like to send more, which is encouraged,
but it is not necessary. Some traders are adding TREAT'S,
Which totally up to you if you choose too!
TRADES WILL BE CHOSEN BY LUCK OF THE DRAW!

1~Cut back foilage and clean dirt away
2~wrap in brown paper bag
3~LABEL color and name if you know it
5~Place in a PRIORITY MAIL BOX along with newpaper
as a filler (free boxes @ Post Office)
6~SHip to your SECRET TRADER

I am interested. But need you to explain it more. I am new here and not sure what this secret trade is about.

I would love to participate but right now, all my cannas are new and I am not able to divide them yet. I will definitlely be interested next year... if my cannas grow as much as I am hoping. I think trades are great!
I would love to watch a thread about a trade among those who have enough to do so with. I think it would be fun if not a little frustrating to hear what others receive.

I also see now that it started in April and maybe noone was interested then. I think there is interest now, so why not do it? Someone just show me the way and count me in!

There's some interest in a canna secret trade.
My canna's are still blooming, which might be best to
do the ST at the end of October. If there's still and interest I'll give it a try!

Well, I dont know the names of all of mine. I got some from another daves garden jperson plus some come from walmart. So I guess I better stay out of this one . Fran
I did make a few changes in the rules,
so those of us Small simply collector's (like me)
& newbie's can can join in.
Un-name & Old Fashion will just fine,
just know the color of the blooms.

I can mark mine by bloom color. This is my first year growing cannas, (and anything else except 4-oclocks that have been growing from no help from me.). I've got plenty of un-named ones to share. However, they may have a name and I just don't know what it is. I have found that to be the case, this first year of gardening. Maybe someone who gets these will fall in love with them and actually know what they are. They are pretty, though. Yellow, red, orange, a few pink and yellow-orange speckled ones.
My "good stuff", like tropicanna and bengel that I've just gotten from other DG'ers haven't multiplied enough to divide yet.
I'd love to share what I have in a secret trade.

My canna's were slow to start by MY MY have they been growing lately. Some havent even bloomed yet. Starting to scare me. The nights are getting in the 50's already. Almost time to bring them in. Waaaaaaaaa. I dont want it to end.

Let me make sure I understand how this works....You'll draw a name for us, then tell us who is our secret person, and we mail the cannas out to them. Correct?
Could you prep us on the correct method for shipping; ie. best way to package, mail out priority etc.
