Could anyone possibly tell me the kind I have?? The leaves are dark in places green in others and bright red in others. I also got a picture of seed pods hanging. An id would be wonderful!

GOOD LUCK with DAT...firstly is it grafted ...look on the trunk for a bulbous area..I'd bet not...most likely a seedling ...It is a acer palmatum leaf..but there are over 200 varieties of "those" your chances of anyone identifying it is less than zero!!! Someone might have a "maybe", "possibly", 'could be"...but I'd bet the farm no one will be definite...Just sit back and enjoy it give it a pet name ;>)...also please be advised if it is a seedling it could take 4 years til it's true colors show up ...David

Huh, looks like a plain old Blood good to me but its hard to tell without seeing the branching structure.

My young bloodgood is dark red on the surface, with greenish color present on the underside of the leaves. At the moment, it hasn't darkened up, and its spring colors are more greenish.
