Baby nepalense has arrived!

Willamette Valley, OR(Zone 8a)

Every day I come home from work and peer into the baggie. And every day it's nothing... nothing... NOTHING!! Except for today. I thought I saw something. I squinted. I peered. YES! A speck of green! I know, I know. But those of you who start lilies from seed will understand (won't you?).

That is really exciting. How many seeds did you start? From NARGS or your own or ???

Inanda who who almost fell over the first time she saw Nepalense. That was grown my Tom Greatrix.

From NALS. Ed McRae's L. nepalense var. robustum donation. I usually start with about 1/2 packet (10-12 seeds) in a 1 qt. baggie. It is a fabulous looking lily but difficult to grow from what I hear. I hope more germinate. I am also trying to germinate rosthornii but nothing so far. I planted the rosthornii seed on Feb. 25 and the nepalense on March 28.
