Northern Indiana Herb Nursery

Cedar Springs, MI(Zone 5b)

My hubby and I drive south to Shipshewana Indiana about 2 times a year.
For you folks in those parts or for those of you who visit like we do you won't want to miss going to "Prairie Trail Farm" near Goshen... just a short drive from Shipshewana.
Heres their website: (its new so check back for updates)

They have a ~very nice~ selection of perennials, alpines, heirloom tomatoes and lotsa HERBS and not just common varieties. My hubby had Monday off so we made the trek down yesterday and got tomatoes, rosemary, thyme, lavender and basil.
As an example they have probably 10 varieties of Basil and maybe 15- 20 different heirloom tomatoes. Nice garden theme gift shop too and a most huggable Great Pryeness dog greets you at the door.! :)
Worth the trip!
Make sure to eat at Das Dutchman Essenhaus in near-by Middlebury when you are in the area for some of the ultimate best roast beef and chicken in the world!

Heres my loot from yesterday:

Lovely!! We'll probably make our annual pilgrimage to DeBaggio's (out near Dulles Airport in VA) in a couple of weeks.... fabulous selection there too, but unfortunately they don't do mail order.

For anyone in the DC area.... http://www.debaggioherbs.com/
