Are pine shavings ok in the garden?

Cedar Springs, MI(Zone 5b)

I use kiln dried pine shavings in my chicken coop,
so I have alot of poo & shavings.
Is ok to use pine shavings in the garden?
Does it change the soil PH?
Thanks for any comments. :)

You are a lucky person. Pine shavings with manure is an excellent combination. I would let it sit in a compost pile for a couple of warm months to cook but it would probably be ok if there is sufficient manure to put right on the beds. It would lower Ph so in GR you would do ok for anything but grass.

Thanks! :)
