Hi I'm new to datura's and babysat one all winter i struggled with spider webs and mites using a soap spray but doesn't always seem to work the best. Also it has two tall dead looking branches off to the side do I dare cut these? it is trying to bloom again and started several babies but can use all the help I can get. lol This one is called black currant I think from the photos. Thank you in advance for any help.

Datura help needed
Hi Kim,
Datura are essentially annuals (though I have one which is defying the definition). Yours sounds like its just tired of winter .. probably some fresh potting medium, fresh air and some sun would perk it up. If you have new growth, cut the old growth off and it will hasten the new growth.

Thank you X this is a first for me but I can see how it could be addictive they are very pretty. I wasn't sure on cutting it back as every plant is different but know it will look much better. Thank you again I'm repotting it in the morning.
