I bought a bunch of irises from a local iris grower. Now they are beginning to bloom and I want to verify that they're true to name. One iris currently in bloom is labeled Cherry Sundae. It's a solid ruffly peach--beautiful. But I was expecting something a little more pinky with some sort of "sundae" streaks. I can't locate a picture online. Does anyone grow this one? Got a picture? I'd appreciate seeing it if you do. Thanks!
Cherry Sundae? Anyone got a picture?
The only thing I could find was this: L. Gaulter 1980. I couldn't find a picture either, but I haven't stopped looking yet!
I say it's a keeper!
Hey, that's just what mine looks like!! Holy Cow!! I really was expecting something very different from a cherry sundae. There's no cherry at all on it. But yes, it's quite pretty and a keeper. I'm glad to know it's accurately named. Thanks Avmoran for the picture. I'm getting quite compulsive about insuring my plants are accurately named. Don't know if that's good or bad. LOL
It can't be bad
