SG Garden Totem idea

Palm Bay, FL(Zone 9b)

I went to this SG store for the first time. Went to buy glass and they just so happened to be having a class on how to make what they are calling "Garden Totems". I was appalled when I saw what the 8 students were making because most of the ones in the area where I was had used lead came and not foil. And the solder workmanship was very poor. It really looked kinda ugly to my eye. But! ... Done with foil and soldered properly these totems could really be masterpieces.

Leftover foiled and tinned odd shapes of glass soldered to each other and to a copper rod.

Pretty good idea for glass that can't be used for anything else but mosaic pieces ... don't you think?
