Illinois's "Kudzu Mountain"

suburban K.C., MO(Zone 6a)

You got to see this article and photos in the Missouri Conservationist magazine online, I'll post the link to it.
One landowner in Missouri said his Mom bought some Kudzu back in the depression, it was touted as a "Porch Vine from the Orient", and now his land is over-run with it.
Illinois's "Kudzu Mountain" in the Shawnee Hills (in Peoria, Ill.) must be a non-native nightmare of a sight to some.

Illinois, IL(Zone 5b)

Hi Will,
Illinois began a serious Kudzu eradication program a couple of years ago to keep the pest from getting too big of a head start here, and this person must have been part of it. Peoria has one of the northern outlier populations of the stuff, but Kudzu Mountain actually is in the Shawnee Hills, some 250 miles to the south. I believe they are using Transline, a legume-selective herbicide (also used to fight Robinia).
