do you have to pinch them?

so I have to little hydrangas I ordered on line.. I planted them they seem happy they keep growing a little, but do i need to pinch them to make them full or will the fill out on there own.

Hydrangea's seem to flower on new growth so you can prune it up in the spring to keep it in check. We have H. paniculata and I've seem H macrophylla(the common blue and pink ones) and they both bloom fine without pinching. So I wouldn't.
Is this it in the picture? If it is, you have a macrophylla.
