and also, when i talk to new places i always mention daves garden and the garden watchdog. either i say i read on the watchdog that you do excellent work or i read that you had some problems last year and wondered if they were resolved? they do take notice.

Resurrection time.
Needed the info myself, Quick search & this was the first & best thread with what I was wanting to know. as I'm diving in with you all, I have decided on the PT-1950. Wish me luck & anyone that is still hesitating Jazz started a new Co-op with Ecom again, or should I say still:)

I have not even started making my labels... oh I am late for spring!

Cedar Rapids, IA(Zone 5a)

The snow partly melted by my house and labels peeked out before last night's snow stormn covered them all up again. I'm getting too old to crawl thru my beds & re-do labels twice a year.

Darn things are worth their weight in gold.

Good to know... I am getting ready to print mine this weekend!

I love my PTouch, but I noticed that when I took pics of my gardens, the zinc markers stood out like they were the featured item rather than the plants! I painted all of my markers with either hunter green or black spray paint. Then I used the clear label tape with white lettering. My PTouch model actually hooks up to my computer so that I can make custom labels with different font sizes (I make the plant name bigger and the plant type smaller) like --

Sum & Substance (lg font)
Hosta (small font)

They have been in my garden for over 2 years and still look new. I wish all the plants that went with the markers had held up as well!! LOL

I love mine too!

A razor can remove the label so you can use the marker again....

I saw it asked on this thread a couple times about the WalMart labelers. Does anyone have experience using these?

Nope for me. Still grinding out on the P-Touch and happy with labels that don't peel or blur over the years.
