Surround at Home Crop Protectant - Has anyone used this on their gardens? Does it work?
Surround dries to a powdery film that sticks to insects' wings, legs and mouth parts, so pests quickly leave to find a more comfortable place to feed or lay eggs. Its active ingredient is a specially processed, super-fine kaolin (allowed up to 2.5% in foods.) As an extra benefit, Surround blocks light that causes sunburn, reducing damage by over 50%.

I am willing to give this a go if I can get some positive feedback. I guess if it rains a lot I would be spraying a lot though...
Thanks - Kim

That sounds like the stuff you spray on fruits like apples. No?
Tam
I used it last year...along with insect spray.. The jury is still out as far as I'm concerned. It does not all wash off with a rain. It does take part of it off. However on my Red Delicious apples I'm wiping a film off yet on my stored ones.
I have a large bag too. Mainly to protect some of my crops from potential JB damage.
Indy:
Is the film a problem? That's my concern with this stuff.
