Well... I don't know. I guess it would depend on whether mine had bugs in it before they cooked it! Yuck! But the red ones look very pretty with the nice coconut rice in them. I've never considered whether these are edible.

It sort of reminded me of stuffed green peppers. I love those but I took a look at all those stuffed Nep Pitchers and no way could I pluck them from my plants to create a special dish for the family. Not even if ours were large enough to pluck... and they aren't.

Of course, where these are being prepared, they grow like crazy! I could never pick the ones from my plants, even if they were bigger than a couple of inches, which they are not!
