First lets start with the whole flower

Next lets look at the pistil.

Remember that the pistil consist of the style with the stigma on the end, and the of the stamen which is the filaments with the anthers. The style is the long skinny white thing and the stamen is the yellow ones. Together they are called the pistil

The stamen contain two parts: the filaments (the skinny pieces) which hold the anthers. The anthers with pollen can really mess up your table cloth.

As mentioned, the pistil consist of the style (long white which has the pollen tube inside). At the tip of the style you find the stigma. The stigma is shaped as a tripod.

The stamen was the anther held by the filament.
Here you can see the stamen resting on top of the filament.

The anther has lots of small pollen grains.

I bought a Canon S2, but the pictures above is taken with a 6x macro filter added to the lens.
