Hi guys, never been here before but I got a tomato question. A friend of mine is looking for a certain tomato, she said it is an Italian tomato, shaped like a Roma, but is 6-10 inches long. Said it is very large and meaty. If anyone has any idea what kind it might be I would greatly appreciate it, and a source for the seeds or plants would be awesome!
Thanks
Janis
Looking for a tomato
I would head over to the Tomato forum - there are some real experts over there who can help you.
Thanks Mitch... I didn't see a tomato forum... guess I didn't look hard enough!

:-) I do the same thing all the time.
Check out Baker Creek Heirloom Seeds -- they have a great selection of tomatos and probably will have what you are looking for.

Ther are several large paste types. Polish Linguisa is one of the larger ones, but there are several that get into the six to seven inch range like Opalka and San Marzano Redorta .
