Vodoo Lily

Allen Park, MI(Zone 6a)

I pulled out some geraniums today that I'd been overwintering and potted them up.
This was my vodoo lily, its was closed up in a paper bag and stapled shut. Its been stored under the basement stairs since October. What a suprised when I opened the bag.

I potted it up and put it under the lights

It looks great Paul. Are you sure that you want it to bloom in the house though. I had one that bloomed in the house a couple of years ago. We thought our cat brought a dead animal in the house. We tore our house upside down before realizing that it was the vodoo lily that smelled so bad. I like the unique blooms but I now plant them outside (as requested by my husband).

Hopefull it won' t bloom until the weather is warm enough to move it outside.

I has this on in the garden last simmer, it is a great foilage plant, kind of looks like a minatre palm tree.
Grew to about 4 feet high.

We're going to be gone for 3 weeks, I can see this thing bloom and have the whole house stinking.

My daughter is going to water everything for me I'll tell her to pitch it if it blooms
