Folks, I have to say. I'm floored.
I've dipped my grubby fingers into many crafts, but I have to admit
having never tried tuffa.
The extent of my tuffing? I've purchased a bag of perlite and a bag
of vermiculite and there they sit, waiting.
I've read, read, read, but I just can't muster up the courage to try
something. For years, I've had a plastic two-part mold I bought at a yard
sale. My intent was to make one head to put in the garden, but I just
can't seem to get moving on it. The mold has been in my shop for years
just hoping to come to life.
Here is a photo of the molds. If one of you can convince me that I can use
tuffa with this mold to produce something I'll not end up ashamed of, I'll
give it a try. They are marked with the following:
DF 1353 2,25 for the mold facing left
DF 1352 2,225 for the mold facing right
Would the original intention of these molds have been for plaster?
Just now I noticed a Hypertuffa for Dummies
thread, so I'll hop over there when I finish this post.
:-)
Be gentle, it's my first time.
