What's it good for?

I know the gardeners in us hate the cold weather... but most of the country is chilly right about now. Let's try to think of some things the cold is good for! I'll start

* hot chocolate & coffee
* fireplaces that actually work
* snowmen, snowball fights
* snow days from school (!)
* white capped pine trees
* all those pesky bug eggs die (!) - slowing down the mosquito plagues
* hiding under a warm blanket with a good book
* ice skating & skiing

Who's next? The winter isn't going anywhere for a while, so we ought to find some blessings in it ...
