This one somehow gets to the point.
A FIB A RECITER SAID
The answer is the binomial scientific name of a pest tree widely found across the southeast US. Punctuation in any clue is NOT part of the plant name. Escalating clues can be provided if needed.
This is a rename of a popular old invasive.
Edited to add: if you want the thread to last for others to peruse, answer through dmail.

Stretch, two, three, four
These are fun and knowledge adding to try to figure out! I'll take a guess..
Lilac - Melia azedarach
Dea
Melia azedarach- oops, try again.
Hey, Elbowinginline, you're stealing my thunder.
Dea:
Melia azedarach sounds like a tough customer, but not the answer.
I get to add another clue!
ERADICATE A FIB, SIR
I bet it's the Tallow Tree (Triadica sebifera)
ugghhh, and I was just looking for something about a parrot - reciting? Off on another rabbit trail :)
Dea
ok, explain again how the clues work please :)
Dea
They're anagrams, I think.
I'm sorry if I wasn't clear at the beginning. I'll put this in each new jumble, because there are always new eyes looking!
The bold clue is a jumble (anagram, mixed up letters) of a real binomial scientific name of a plant. So, take the letters in the jumble and rearrange them to spell the binomial scientific name (Genus species) of the plant.
If no one gets the jumbles quickly, I'll post some hints about the plant. For instance, I might refer to its country of origin or some features of the plant like leaves, bark, flowers, fruit.
Dode got the answer, and your answer! See it here:

Oh, I get it :) Thank you!
Dea
Quite welcome.
Some I didn't get to use...
A desire, a crib, a fit
A farce is a bit dire
A...a erratic fib dies
IS A FIT ACER A "BRIDE"?
The last one is for Scott/Decumbent.
My brain hurts trying to figure any of these out......:o(
