Will clover provide enough nitrogen in the soil to benefit grass, trees and shrubs? And does it have any other benefits, besides feeding deer? It usually dies off during the summer here.
Clover for nitrogen
It is a logoom,(if i spelled it wright),that builds the soil annually.
Yes clover is a Legume. But assist is all it would do. If you grow grass over the site the nitrogen all turns to grass. Mulch you lawn clippings helps tremendously. Don't bag. Compost is your best friend in building soil. Start there and use Legumes to start the soil when large areas are involved.
Yes and it also feeds quail if you are lucky enough to have any around :).
Dana, Watch out for Dick Cheney though!
Dick Cheney would never be allowed on this property :). I don't have any politician feeders hung out for a good reason.
