Programs for landscaping?

I don't know where else to ask this...

Have a rather large area (1-2 acres depending on how ambitious I get) in which I'd like to put a pond and co-ordinate with another garden. I'm not very good at visualizing this!

Has anyone been particularly happy/unhappy with a program? I have an older Sierra program but it was difficult to impossible to deal with slopes and hillsides as with a bi-level house.
