I was going to post this link on the indigenous thread that discussed invasives, but since we have started this forum, I though I would post this here. Its a nice simple read:
Why we cannot ignore invasive plants:

A nice link to share
I don't know if you were aware of this but she wrote a book. The title is
"Invasive Plants of the Upper Midwest: An Illustrated Guide to Their Identification and Control" authored by none other than Elizabeth J Czarapata.
"Why We Can Not Ignore Invasive Plants" is so illustrative of her style. Thank you for posting that link. A very well written introduction to invasive plants.
Betty was a member of a Wild Ones Chapter up in Milwaukee. She worked in her community before she died a few years ago.
I added her book to the Bookworm a little bit ago and DG has a link to where you can buy it for a really good price if anyone is interested. It's truly an invaluable tool and I have used it as a reference.
