Vigna caracalla (corkscrew or seashell vine)

I want to try this. How many should go into a 16'-18" pot. Plants or seeds? Which is better. Does it have deep roots and need a deep pot? Is it truly fragrant?

I just love seeds to answer you orig. question. You can get 100's of plants for the same price as one plant in a pot. My only exception is plants that have to be mature to flower. In that case paying a few extra bucks isnt so bad.
