Portabello Mushroom Gills

I posted this over on "Recipes", & then remembered we now have a "Cooking" forum here. Since my post wasn't really a "recipe" post, perhaps someone here can assist me.

Bought some lovely Portabello Mushrooms today that I plan on broiling & topping with sliced Portabello Mushroom Turkey/Chicken sausage & serving with a green salad for dinner.

I don't make Portabello's that often, & was wondering if, for this sort of recipe, I should remove the dark gills before broiling or not?
