Fragragrant Plant List by Month

Decatur, GA(Zone 7a)

How about if we start a list of fragrant plants, with information about what month(s) they bloom, day or evening scent, and zones. I will be glad to add it to this message to create a real list. Maybe we can get it added as a sticky if we get enough plants added. What do y'all think?

(Zone 9a)

That's a good idea. It would be helpful the have the information in a list format.

Sounds like a great plan! Maybe we could include some info on whether it is easy to germinate, etc.

Hummmmn, that's where we come in.

My Clethra's bloom late summer(August), my wild Azeleas late March, Gardenias in May, hard to list more, my puter was wiped out and don't have my dated pics on hand.

This is particularly useful to newby gardeners like me. Thank you for being kind to give your advice and knowledge. I learn so much from browsing through and reading what works for the people in my area.

Elaine,
There is a great book called 'Month by Month Gardening in Georgia' by Walter Reeves.

Wouldn't it depend on your zone????????? What blooms in NJ in May, might already be blooming down here in TX in Feb.
