A friend brought this from her grandmother's garden in England.
Could it be an iris x fulvala?
Thanks, ROX
ID please!
Looks like an LA (Lousianna) to me.
or
I lavigatae or I Bevicaulis
which are spiecies water loveing Iris
hight of flower would help to ID
The height is about 1-1.5 feet and I grow it in direct sunlight in relatively dry soil.
It seems healthy but after we ID it, I might want to move it.

I agree that it looks like a Louisiana Iris, but they generally need consistantly moist soil. Hmmm...
i thinks its BEAUTIFUL!
Maybe Dorothy K. Williamson? Haven't seen a picture of mine for awhile so .... but go hunt for that.

Dear all-
Thanks for trying to help me ID this one. I really appreciate it.
I think it is lovely too and I will try to divide it this year so I can move some to a wetter spot to see how it does. I'll let you know.
P.S. I searched for a photo of Dorothy Williamson and couldn't find one. Let me know if you can.
