My special birthday present

We got our chickens in early July, and finally on Tuesday we got our first egg! Actually there were three in there, hidden in the far corner. We got another egg today. Yesterday was my birthday, so I'll always remember this as my birthday present from the Leghorn!

Our other chickens are Ameraucanas and a RI Red. Any idea how long it will be before they lay? I only knew roughly when to expect it for the Leghorn, and I think it came a little later since we got them so late.

I grew up with chickens, and it was my job to take care of them. I LOVE having chickens again. I didn't realize how much I missed them. :)
