great time saving tips

I got this tip from haley's cleaning hints and believe me they work.

Six-second silver cleaning:

Run around a quart of hot water into your kitchen or bathroom sink(cool enough not to burn you) disolve 1tbsp water softener, 1tbsp salt in the water place a sheet of aluminum foil on the bottom of the sink and place your tarnished silver on the foil. The silver that is both touching the foil and covered by the water should become clean within 10 seconds. If the piece is badly tarnished , rub it with a soft cloth after removing from the water. This method works with gold jewelry too but don't use it on jewerly that has been se with stones.

Bright Thermos Tips:

Fresen up thermos bottles or insulated coffee-pots by filing with warm water mixed with 2 tablespoons of water softener. Leave it soak a while and wash out well with clean water afterwards.
