Does anyone know what this is?

I bought this lapageria in the fall and brought it home to Illinois with me. I have been baby-ing it since, as I have fallen in love with these flowers! Anyway, can anyone tell me if this is a seed pod or a fruit or what on my vine?? Thanks! Karen

Yes...that is a seed pod on your lapageria...Mine get them too...I cut them off because it seems to zap the plant if I leave them on it and they don't bloom as well when they have a lot of pods on them.

I've never tried planting the seeds...maybe you should save the pod if the plant dies...then you can start new ones from the seeds!

your plant will not die just because you leave the seedpod ripen on it.
