Earlier this year a friend of mine managed to propagate some Japanese Maples by means of a homemade tissue culture lab.

The specimens in question seem to be doing well and i was just wondering if anyone else has any knowledge of any nurseries or hobbyists who have managed propagate using this system.

treemendous, I'm in the process of setting up a TC lab, but am interested in Acer Palmatums, could you get the protocol from your friend and post it on this forum? I'd like to know hard it is. thanks, hostajim1

What a fascinating subject this is! I wish you the best of success in TC, I would really love to try it one day myself. Please keep us posted on your progress.

I've only got three JMs, two are only a foot high because they were affordable that way. I feel better now because now I know somebody in the world has even smaller ones than I do, lol!
